Two World Premieres at Alchemy Film & Moving Image Festival This Week


Two of my (Sean) films will premiere at the Alchemy Film & Moving Image Festival this week. In the main programme will be Koan III, screening on Saturday 16th April at 1445


'It's the beginning of a new age' - The Velvet Underground. 

And in the screening room upstairs, The Hidden Castle will receive its first screening. These screenings repeat every day, and The Hidden Castle will screen first, on Thursday 14th April at noon.

Sean Martin introduces All Quiet on the Western Front



Sean Martin will be introducing a screening of Lewis Milestone's All Quiet on the Western Front (1930) at the Scottish Parliament on Saturday 5 March 2016. The film starts at 1300, with a discussion afterwards. Sean will be in conversation with Ann-Christin Simke from Goethe-Institut, Glasgow, and Professor Stephan Malinowski, Lecturer in Modern European History at the University of Edinburgh.

Three New Films




Three new short films by Sean Martin are included in the exhibition Shifting Images, which opened at the Grimsby Fishing Heritage Centre, and at the Abbey Walk Gallery, Grimsby, on 8th September 2015. The films are Did I Dream You, Mosaic and Platinum, and were made in collaboration with composer David Power. The exhibition marks Sean's and David's second project together after Vestiges, shown in York in February 2015. Shifting Images runs until 6 March 2016.
